The Global Future of Governance

Georgetown's Global Futures Initiative is convening a semester-long conversation around "The Global Future of Governance." Leaders of international organizations, including the director-general of the World Health Organization and the United Nations high commissioner for refugees, will deliver lectures on campus. A diverse group of academics and practitioners will offer responses to key topics from each lecture on this blog.

About the Blog

Over the course of 2015 and 2016, the Global Futures Initiative invited the Georgetown University community to address four critical global issues: development, governance, security, and the environment.

During the fall 2015 semester this blog brought together Georgetown’s leading scholars in global governance with faculty, students, and colleagues around the world for a conversation about governance challenges facing humanity.

Georgetown is home to premier schools, centers, and programs in global governance, including the Walsh School of Foreign Service, Mortara Center for International Studies, Center for Security Studies, BMW Center for German and European Studies, Master of Science in Foreign Service, M.A. in Conflict Resolution, and the Global Business Fellows program, a collaboration between the McDonough School of Business and the SFS.
